Report on Awareness Session at
Musaliar College of Engineering and Technology

Awareness was conducted at Musaliar College of Engineering and Technology on 18th February, 2010. The session was conducted by a team  consisting of Mr. Harisankar PS,Hub 2 Driver (CEC), Mr. Mahadev (CEC), Mr. Avinash Krishnan (CEC), Mr. Ashwin R (CEC). The team reached the college by 2 and the session was started immediately after a short introduction. The session was attended by students of 3rd and 4th year.

The session began with an introduction to IEEE by Mr Harisankar P S, covering its benefits for students and in technological advancement. Which was followed by a session on LINK by Mr Mahadev A, it covered the factors leading to its formation, its activities and how it helped increase the benefits received by a student member in Kerala Section. An introduction to GINI was also given.

Mr. Avinah Krishnan gave a brief idea on the activities that can b conducted by a student branch. The last session was about IEEE Computer Society which was taken by Mr Ashwin R. The session was concluded at 3:30 after which the team spend the time talking with interested students regarding the petition and process of applying for a student branch.

The students and staffs were enthusiastic about IEEE, kerala section can expect a new student branch from Musaliar College of Engineering and Technology.

IEEE awareness @ Karunagappilly

Hi all,
.
This is a brief report of the awareness class at KEC.
.
.
The program was aimed at aiding them to start a new student branch there. We reached at the college at 2 O’ clock and started the session after having the lunch along with the host. Session was handled by Shaun, Rahul and me. Arjun was also accompanying us. Audience were mostly from 2nd year and also from the third year with 60-40 proportion of about 120 students.

Session ended with great applause and some IEEE Brouchers and product sheets were distributed at the end. Arjun  R Pillai presented a CD containing the documents needed for them run a student branch with reasonable momentum. Reji sir of KEC gave us a memento as token of appreciation for the session before we left.
